Summary (5.20)
EuroPoker is one of many poker rooms owned and operated by the Swedish based Ongame group. It is a fast and good looking poker room with excellent tools for the serious player, like easy to use statistics and player notes. EuroPoker.com is a good choice for Mac or Linux-users, who can play the java version without any special installs. EuroPoker offers great statistical analysis of your game. The traffic is concentrated to the Holdem and tournament section. A large proportion of the games are short-handed tables with 5 or 6 players and the rake is slightly higher than industry standard. Real money player statistics - ring game players at peak hours, 20,000-27,000 tournament players at peak hours.
Ring Game Traffic (8)
The traffic at peak hours is currently 4,500-5,400 real money ring games players. The high limit tables in particular have grown very much since last year.
Game variety (5)
Good variety, but traffic very concentrated to Texas Holdem but Pot- and No-limit games as well as Omaha, Seven-Card Stud (both Hi and Hi-Lo) and five-Card Draw are available.
Soft competition (6)
From our experience there are quite a few soft games available at EuroPoker at the lower stakes Limit and No limit tables. But you cannot look at the top stakes games for soft competition, anywhere over the $4 No limit and $10 Limit games it's getting harder. Still, you can at times find $5/$10 no-limit Holdem tables with a viewed flop percentage of 35-40%. Overall, many full ten-handed hold'em games have a view flop percentage in the 40-ies and 50-ies, and some in the 60-ies - so the games are quite soft and the trend is good.
Loyalty bonus (2)
EuroPoker has a system that awards points (PPs or Player Points) to players based on the rake of the hands they participate in. The points can be used to collect various bonuses.
Support (3)
Support can be contacted via web-e-mail and is fast to answer, however the site lacks phone support and has no live chat support. The support is also relatively unreliable as far as the technical part and will sometimes not deliver your question to the helpdesk at all.

Software & Graphics (5)
EuroPoker.com has high-end software with its clean, sleek graphics, multi platform compatibility and reliability in uptime, etc. On the negative side, many players do not like the "playability" on EuroPoker.com, as it does not lend itself well to multi-table play (buttons too close, easy to time out, hard to see winning hand, etc) The software is available as both Java applet and as standard Windows download. The Java version is a great feature for Linux and Mac users who otherwise need a Windows emulator. The Java version is also for certain users who cannot download programs to the computer. The statistics functionality on your played hands in the various games is good. The lobby information is a little tricky to use, as you need to click on each table to get the full statistics. Recently added in the software update autumn 2005 is a lobby chat where all players logged in can share thoughts. The software allows players the option to create private tournaments where you can choose your own buy-in, starting time etc.
Tournament traffic (8)
The traffic at the tournaments at peak hours reaches currently between 20,000-27,000 real money players.
Rake (5)
The rake is on par with the industry with 5% of the pot up to a maximum of $3.
Sign up bonus (3)
EuroPoker has a first-deposit bonus of 50% up to $100. The first-deposit bonus must be claimed within the first 60 days and it takes 10 player points for every dollar of the bonus. As an example; to get your $100 bonus you will need to deposit $200 and collect 1000 player points in order to claim the entire bonus. The points are awarded according to a system based on the rake of the hand you are participating in. You can receive anywhere from 0.07 to 2.1 player points for participating in a hand (for a complete table of player points distribution see EuroPoker website).
Promotions (4)
The Royal money bonus means that when you participate in a showdown with a royal flush and at least one of your hole cards help make up the flush you automatically receive a bonus 100x small blind or limit. The bonus is limited to $5000 and only in ring games.
Financial security (7)
Very secure, being a part of the OnGame network, one of the biggest networks in the world thus you can expect the highest degree of security.
