If you can see past the sometimes slow and choppy software, you will find there is much money to be made from the generally loose and inexperienced players that frequents the network. They offer a wide variety of different stakes, ranging from micro $0.15/$0.25 to massive GBP 150/300 fixed limits, makes it relatively easy to find a game that appeal to you. Less attractive are the graphics and software performance, along with the fact that you can't create your own tables. A major advantage and a big player retention factor is the monthly $50 bonuses offered to all real money players (all you have to do is rake 250 hands). On top of this new players coming via PokerListings get and extra $150 once they have raked 1050 hands. Real money player statistics - 2,000-2,650 ring game players at peak hours, 7,000-10,000 tournament players at peak hours.

PokerPlex.com uses CryptoLogic software and its network, sharing a player base with other gaming operators, among them successful and popular poker room InterPoker. Although it is graphically ok and boasts all the standard functions, it is quite slow and has a couple of really annoying features such as being forced to close all tables in order to access the cashier. In addition, the ability to play several tables simultaneously is impaired by slow software and short time intervals between hands.

Rake (5)
The rake is slightly less attractive than industry standard for low limit and middle limit games. At high limit tables the rake is relatively low. A rake of 5% is taken on every pot over GBP 5/$5, up to a maximum of GBP 3/$3. There is a "no flop - no drop" policy for hands not reaching the flop.
Sign up bonus (6)
The $50 is a continous monthly bonus for players who rake at least 250 hands. The count of Poker Raked Hands is updated in the Ecash Promotion engine when the player goes into Ecash and checks their balance. The definition of a raked hand is; in a pot where the player has been dealt cards and $1 rake has been taken, 1 raked hand is awarded, in pots where $0.25-$0.99 rake has been taken, 1/4 of a raked hand is awarded.
